Agnes Wingo Leister Skeeter

Agnes Wingo Leister Skeeter, 92, died July 3, 2004 at Laurel Baye Healthcare. Mrs. Skeeter was the widow of Clarence Britton Skeeter and the daughter of the late William and Nora Leister. She was a homemaker and the last surviving charter member of Milcah Temple No. 77, Daughters of the Nile. She was a member of Earl Street Baptist Church. She is survived by a sister, Edith Leister Mauldin of Knoxville, TN; four nieces, Harriet Leister Ligon of Greenville, June Mauldin Hochholzer of Debary, FL, Jean Leister Corley-Wix of Lady Lake, FL, and Jana Hochholzer Foster of Toledo, OH; four nephews, Don Mauldin of Knoxville, TN, S. Clark Ligon of Greenville, SC, Dan Leister Ligon of Atlanta, GA and Will Hochholzer of Colchester, CT. She is predeceased by two brothers, William A. Leister and Dan M. Leister. Funeral services will be conducted at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Gardens in Charleston. Memorials may be made to Earl Street Baptist Church, 225 W. Earl Street, Greenville, SC 29609. The family is at the home of Harriet Ligon.
