Albert Glenn Howle, 34, of Clemson, SC, died May 15, 2004 in an airplane crash in the state of Arizona. Also killed in the accident were his fiancee?, Milena Stanoycheva and his father, Jerry Albert Howle. Born in Charleston, he was a graduate of J.L. Mann High School where he played and served as captain of the basketball team. He remained very active coaching community youth basketball in the Upstate. He earned a degree in Engineering Analysis and an MBA from Clemson University and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity, where he served as president. He owned and operated several local restaurants and coffee shops. Glenn was a member of Buncombe Street United Methodist Church. Surviving are are his mother and step-father, Jessica Riddle Curlee and Paul Curlee; two brothers, Will Curlee and Graham Howle and his wife, Marci Howle; maternal grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Herbert Riddle, all of Greenville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Buncombe Street United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1988, Greenville, SC 29602. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Buncombe Street United Methodist Church. The family is at the home of his mother, 2 Barksdale Road.
