Annie B. Atwood, 95, of Greenville, died Sunday, February 7, 2021.
Born in Oconee County, SC, she was a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Reid Bynum.
Annie was retired from Southern Bell and was a member of Monaghan Baptist Church. She was an avid traveler after retirement and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Garrett, Renee Henderson, and Chris Atwood; five great-grandchildren, Jake Garrett, Jonathan Henderson, Landon Henderson, Caymon Upchurch, and Harley Atwood; four great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Edna Chastain; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Bennett; son, Thomas Atwood; sisters, Mae Leopard, Pauline McGuffin, and Mildred Duncan; and brother, Frank Bynum.
A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest Chapel. A private family service will be held the same day. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
Masks are required in all Thomas McAfee Funeral Home locations and attendees are strongly encouraged to follow the CDC guidelines in social distancing.
