Avildie Evatt, 86, beloved wife of the late Daniel Evatt, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022.
Born in Oconee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late George and Alma Black Lee.
Avildie worked at Gayley Mill for over 50 years and was known for her giving and caring heart. She was a big fan of Dr. Pepper and loved all types of desserts. Aside from her sweet tooth, she also enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and word searches.
She is survived by daughters, Patricia Galloway, Pam Mast, and Allyson Rholetter; son, Gary (Connie) Frazier; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Elva Bailey; and stepchildren, Danny Evatt, Jeanette Evatt, and Leslie Evatt.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by first husband, Leonard Frazier; great grandson, Aaron Gilstrap; sisters, Avanell Kimbrell, Annette Denny, and Maredith Lee; and brother, Rufus Lee.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 400 Farrs Bridge Rd., Greenville followed by the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park.
