Betty Carolyn “Carol” Santana, 68, beloved wife of the late Juan Santana, passed away, Saturday, April 2, 2022.
Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Betty Pierce Grissop.
Carol had a deep love for reading and truly enjoyed her time spent within each story, book and page. In her younger years, she was a championship softball player that could take on anyone on the field. She enjoyed cross stitching and was a wonderful cook that took pride in everything she did for her loved ones; always wanting to bring a smile to their face. Carol was known for her loving heart and caring nature, she always had a helping hand to lend to anyone in need. She would do more for others, than herself and never wanted credit for what she did. Her greatest love and joy was her family, especially her boys. She will be forever missed by everyone that knew and loved her, but her legacy and memories will be carried on by her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by sons, Cory Monteith and David Monteith; grandsons, Harrison, Cameron and Treyton Monteith; granddaughter, Emalee Moore; great-granddaughter, Christina Moore; brothers, Van Grissop and Mark Grissop; and sister, Nancy Tilley.
In addition to her loving husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Wanda Foster.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Children’s Wish Foundation, childrenswish.org.
