Katherine Ray Umstetter left a message on December 10, 2023:
Our beautiful, loving Bebby went home to be with the Lord just shy of her 92nd birthday. She loved her family and had a strong faith in God. She was a member of Monaghan Baptist Church in Greenville and was a beautician in the past. She was always glamorous, looked her best, and kept an immaculate house. I will miss her big smile, hugs, and being told how much she loved me (and everyone else). She always told me I was her sunshine and that she was so proud of me. Her last words to me and Luke on Thanksgiving before she passed were, “I love you.” That’s Bebby! I am so blessed to have had a close grandmother for 42 years. She was also like a grandmother to my kids (because “Shayon” is a unique category all her own - she’s “Shayon”!). We will always miss Bebby terribly, but we rejoice that her health no longer ails her and we will be reunited again in Heaven. That was Bebby’s last wish that she shared with me during her final hospital stay - that all of her family would come to know the Lord. We prayed that evening together that God would reveal himself and touch each and every member of Bebby’s family. That pleased her immensely, and she was at peace. Bebby, I will always love you and am proud of you, too - Katherine
