Betty Lou Walker, 84, wife of Tommy Walker, of Greenville, passed away, Monday, March 30, 2020.

Born in Weaverville, NC, she was a daughter of the late, Weaver and Ida Hunter.

In addition to her loving husband of 62 years, she is survived by daughters, Cindy Luttrell, Mindy Wheeler and Dawn Fowler (Eric); grandchildren, Jessica Every (Lyon), Beau Brown (Stephanie), and J.T. Luttrell; great grandchildren, Bryson Young, Alton Every, Beckham Every, Avrie Brown, and Arden Brown; a brother -in-law, Carl Reid Walker, and a sister-in-law, Judy Williams.

A private memorial service for immediate family only will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.

Hey Tommy please pass this along to your daughter. We just found out a week ago that he had passed. Dad is very upset. So I saw Angie on Facebook and I asked her how everybody was doing and she let us know. We are so so sorry. We were the Canada funeral free to know. Our hearts are heavy with the news of Aunt Betty's passing. We are so blessed to have had her in our lives. I can see her and the sisters sitting around Grannys kitchen table laughing and telling stories.Uncle Tommy, Cindy, Mindy and Dawn know that you have been and will remain in our prayers. It was a blessing and a pleasure to have known Betty for over sixty years. Watching her family grow and hearing her unique laugh are memories that are cherished. We are saddened by her passing and pray for her family.

Betty was like a second Mom to me. She would bring breakfast for me and Dawn every morning. My heart hurts for her family.

She was a great lady. She will be missed. Also, a great asset of the company she retired from, Canal Insurance. Prayers for the family.
