Bobby “Bob” Eugene Bishop, 86, loving husband of Brenda Dianne “B.D.” Bishop, was welcomed into the Lords arms on Monday, December 27, 2021, at his home.
Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Eugene and Grace Lafoy Bishop.
Bob was a graduate of the “Class of 1953” from Parker High School. He then attended North Greenville College and then served in the United States Army at Fort Jackson for four years. Shortly after that, he became the owner and operator of Bishop Electrical Service of Greenville until his passing. Bob was also a dedicated lifelong member of Poe Baptist Church, where he loved serving his Lord and church family. Bob loved golf, the Clemson Tigers, the beach and the many trips with his wife, family and friends.
Bob will be greatly by his family, loved ones and friends. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
His memory will forever be cherished in the heart of his devoted wife of 41 years, B.D.; 7 wonderful children, Terrie L. Padgett (Scott) of Dacusville, Bobbi T. Gregory (Jacob), Bobby E. Bishop, Jr. (Melissa), Darrel Bishop (Melinda), Greg Bishop (Angie), all of Greenville, Chopper Robertson (Hope), David Robertson and fiance Gina, all of Easley; 16 precious grandchildren, Amber Padgett, Justin Padgett (Samantha), Megan Gravely (Tyler), Brittany Pressley (Kevin), Brandyn Bishop, Trista Hahn (Chad), Cory Bishop, Dawson Bishop, Hunter Bishop, Jasmine Robertson, Lee Anne Robertson, Dylan Robertson, Sophie Robertson, Connor Robertson, Michael Robertson (Caroline), and Kayla Robertson; 13 adoring great grandchildren, Emma, Weston, Cannon, Maddyson, Hunter, Noah, Tucker, Riley, Clara Elizabeth, Elliott, Aiden, Killian, and Miracle Grace; and his beloved sister, Nancy Hester of Greenville.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammie L. Robertson, his grandson, Jordan Darrel Bishop; and brother-in-law, Dan Hester.
A visitation will be held Sunday, January 09, 2022, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown followed by the Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. A private burial service will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 3:00 p.m.
