Cara Dawn Boenig, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, peacefully passed away on November 22, 2023, in Simpsonville, South Carolina. She was 66 years old.
Born on October 1, 1957, in the scenic state of West Virginia, Cara was destined to bring warmth and joy into the lives of those around her. With her radiant smile, compassionate heart, and unwavering determination, she touched the lives of many throughout her journey.
Cara pursued her education with great passion and dedication, earning a Master’s Degree in her field of expertise, speech therapy. An accomplished professional, she dedicated her career to helping others find their voice and overcome communication challenges. Her commitment to her work was unparalleled, and she made a significant impact on countless lives within the field of education.
Beyond her professional achievements, Cara was a loving and devoted mother. Her daughter, Cynthia McDaniel and son-in-law, Walter were the center of her universe. She poured her heart and soul into her role as a mother, ensuring that her daughter grew up surrounded by love, support, and invaluable life lessons.
Cara’s unconditional love extended beyond her immediate family, reaching out to her siblings, Julie Pohar, Lisa Fox, Jeff Stackpole, and Bill Stackpole. Their bond was unbreakable, and they shared countless memories filled with laughter, love, and resilience.
As we reflect on the beautiful life Cara lived, her memory will forever remain etched in our hearts. Her legacy is one of kindness, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to both her family and her profession.
A memorial service will be held on December 2, 2023, at 4:00 pm, at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast. This gathering of family and friends will celebrate her life and offer an opportunity to share cherished memories, offer condolences, and provide comfort and support to one another during this difficult time.
