Carl Clark, 73, of Travelers Rest, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.
Carl was born on November 10, 1947 in Bakersville, NC. he was the son of the late Bessie Clark.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. A true friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Carl was retired from Milliken Corporation. He served as President of the local Lions Club and was a member of the Cooper Lodge No 282. He was actively involved in his church and loved the Shut-In Ministry that he did weekly at Providence Baptist Church where he was an active Deacon. He was also an avid gardener and loved to share his fresh fruits and vegetables with family and friends. He had a loving spirit and was always willing to help someone in need. He was loved dearly by his family.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty Clark; daughter, Sally Clark Garza (Rodney); sons, Wayne Clark (Lorie), Mike Clark (Kelly) and Greg Clark; 4 grandchildren, Katie Clark, Stephanie Clark, Emily Clark, and Brandon Clark (Laura); sisters, Dixie Cristofaro (Tex) and Georgia Bustle; special nieces, nephews and cousins; and his Pomeranian dog, Lucy.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dessie Herrick.
A private graveside service will be held in Coleman Memorial Cemetery in Travelers Rest, SC. The family appreciates those attending to follow the CDC guidelines on Social Distancing and wearing a mask.
