On Wednesday, August 17, 2022, our precious Mother, Carol Ann Nordeen, was relieved of her earthly duties and promoted to her heavenly home where she entered rest with her Lord and Savior as well as her late husband and son.

Born in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Carrie Morrello Whitemiller.

Carol Ann was a hard working and loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She loved gathering together with her family, and getting to see her grandchildren was the highlight of her day. She enjoyed traveling to her hometown in Chicago to spend time with her dear brother, Gary.

She is survived by her daughters, Jeanette Blackerby and husband, Rev. Eric Blackerby, and Jessica Anderson and husband, Kevin; five grandchildren, Kasey Nordeen, Taylor Blackerby and wife, Olivia, Weston Blackerby and wife, Karina, Elle Blackerby, Kassidy Tart and husband, Cody; and one great-grandchild, Judah Retcher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Nordeen and son, Jeffrey L. Nordeen.

Per Carol’s request, the funeral service will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Daventon Baptist Church, 312 Daventon Road, Pelzer, SC 29669.

What a wonderful kind lady Carol was, it was a pleasure to have know her. Everyone I knew that knew her, for many more years than I, always spoke so kindly of this caring and gentle soul . Good bye little lady I will miss you

I will miss our lengthy talks. Carol always seemed happy talking about our younger years and about our families. She will be missed. She is now where she has been praying to be with her mom, son and husband.

Carol and Diane are united again in their sweet friendship! What a great day for them! I pray for you all in the coming months as you adjust to your new normal. On the hard days, remember she’s looking down and smiling at all of you. You were her greatest joy!
