Carol Elaine “Skip” Shaffer, 79, wife of Norman Shaffer, died Wednesday, October 13, 2021.

Born in Windber, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Gladys Wirick Moore.

Carol was a very active member of Riverside Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. She loved crafting, cooking, and gardening.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Scott Shaffer (Dawn); daughter, Amy Swearingin (Cary); grandchildren, Carter (Micaela), Nicole, Emily, and Carley; and great grandchildren, Liam, Callie, and Charleigh.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Les “Bear” Moore and Bob “Cub” Moore.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside Baptist Church, Greer, SC.
