Carolyn Elizabeth Everhart “Miss Carolyn”, 91, beloved wife of the late Rev. John Albert Everhart, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 12, 2022.

Born in Travelers Rest, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jay and Mary Robertson Bryant.

Carolyn was a member of Wrenn Memorial Baptist Church where she pastored alongside her husband. She was a former substitute teacher for Greenville County Schools. In her spare time, she loved spending time at the beach just enjoying her family and God’s beautiful scenery. “Miss Carolyn” taught the Tiny Tots Sunday school class for over 50 years, and was an advocate of missions for over 65 years, teaching and leading others to the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. She had a servant’s heart, always volunteering at nursing homes styling the lady resident’s hair. She loved the Lord, her church, and family with all her heart. Her loving nature and sweet spirit will carry on through those she has taught, led, loved and prayed for. To know “Miss Carolyn” was to love her.

She is is survived by a daughter, Kathryn Everhart Shirley and her husband, Keith; two sons, James E. Everhart, and Jay H. Everhart and his wife, Kathy; ten grandchildren; and twenty four great grandchildren.

The visitation will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Wrenn Memorial Baptist Church, with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Burial will be held in American Spinning Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Wrenn Memorial Baptist Church Mission Fund, 19 Sidney Street, Greenville, SC, 29609 or Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W Georgia Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29680.

Shirley and I were saddened to hear of Carolyn’s passing. She was a blessing to us both. Our condolences to the family. Preacher John and Carolyn were fixtures in the community. We can almost hear the Lord now, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” Praying for the Lord’s comfort in the days to come.

She was a wonderful caring person my children loved her. She helped me to understand more about the bible then I ever had been able to I was so very lucky to have met them both I hate that she passed but I am filled with happiness that they once again serve the Lord together

So sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing, but one thing is for certain, she was a precious child of God and is rejoicing with Precher John and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. What a reunion they must have had when Miss. Carolyn walked through those gates!! Love and prayers to the family...

I have so many precious memories of Carolyn. She showed the true love of God with everyone she met. She was a blessing to me and my family for many years. Praying for you all during this difficult time.

Mama and I were so sorry to here about Carolyn’s passing. I have many fond memories of visiting her and Grandma Bryant when I was a child. Carolyn was always always such a sweet sweet lady. Miss Carolyn taught all my kids in tiny tots . Josh , Lacey and Lauren ! She was a real inspiration to me as a young adult . She loved ministering to other people , young and old and with missions . Time to rest Miss Carolyn and enjoy your time with Jesus.

My condolences to the family. Her and John were regulars of mine at the ihop for many years in the 00s to early 10s. They were so very sweet and this makes my heart sad. But i know they are rejoicing together in heaven.

We are so sorry to hear about sweet Miss Carolyn! She was a precious lady who will be greatly missed! Our thoughts and prayers are with the family! We love you all!
