Charles Wiley Young

Charles Wiley ?Charlie? Young, 67, of 802 Standing Springs Road, died Friday, August 13, 2004 at his residence. Loving husband of Doris Griffith Young for 36 years, he was born in Greenville a son of the late Charles Newby Young and Virginia Williams Hester. A US Navy veteran, Mr. Young was a retired employee of Carolina Freight ABF and a truck driver for 40 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Local Union No. 28, a member of City View First Baptist Church and the Truett Fidilas Sunday School Class. He was actively involved in the Tape Ministry of the church. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons, Eric N. Young and Chuck Young, both of Greenville, and Jerry L. Young of Liberty; daughter, Terrie Turner of Greenville; brothers, Robert. N. ?Bob? Young and his wife, Judy, of Greenville and Terrence L. Young, also of Greenville; and brother-in-law, Ken Griffith and his wife, Rosy, of Simpsonville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at City View First Baptist Church, with burial at Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family is at the residence.
