Charles “Charlie” William Forrester

I am so sad to hear of my dear friend Charlie passing,I have one of his crosses he gave to me and will always cherish it and seeing and talking to him in Bojangles,so Charlie,do you know what? God Loves You and so do I! These are the exact words he ALWAYS TOLD ME! and obviously he told many people these exact words and I knew it came straight from his heart,I pray that God comforts his family and all his many friends,I will never forget him and I always carry the cross he gave me and look forward to seeing him again in heaven!

Gail, Clarence and I were deeply saddened by the news of Charlie’s death. He was a dear friend and we will always cherish the many precious memories we have of him. He was such a fine Christian man who shared his faith with others. Please know our love and prayers continue for you and his sweet family May God bless and comfort you today and in the days to come. Just hated to hear of Mr. Charlie's passing. I have such wonderful memories of him from BFBC including coaching my basketball team!! I felt like I was a part of the Forrester family back then. Please know my prayers are with you all! Our Lord has gained his servant! Ginger Gilstrap Huggins

You were not in Charlie’s presence very long until he reminded you “God loves you, and so do I”. His presence will be missed, but his legacy will live on. We send our prayers and condolence to Gail and the family.

Charlie was the true embodiment of what a Christian should be. He carried the message of Jesus Christ with him everywhere he went and to everybody he met. Charlie brought a since of peace to our lives by just being around him. The few short years we knew Charlie he was a True Blessing to Peggy and me. He always had a smile on his face, and he was going to shake your hand or give you a hug and then he was going to look you in the face and say to you, YOU KNOW WHAT, GOD LOVES YOU AND SO DO I. So today we are all so sadden with the passing of our friend Charlie, but can you imagine how Charlie felt when he saw the one who gave His life for him, and HE told Charlie YES CHARLIE, I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED YOU. Many tears will flow in the days ahead because of this man we all LOVED SO DEARLY. GOD THANK YOU FOR PUTTING CHARLIE INTO EVERYONE OF OUR LIVES and GOD PLEASE BLESS GAIL AND THE FAMILY IN THE DAYS AND WEEKS AHEAD. Please Give them and extra portion of Your Love in the days ahead. Gail, Mike, Chris and Family - what a blessing it was to know Charlie and to call him our friend. The pastor said it best when he said "Charlie endeared himself to the people at Rock Springs" and I will add to anyone he ever met. He was truly a good, Godly man. We will dearly miss him. Our deepest condolences. Mr. Forrester presided over the funerals of both my sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Lawrence Garrett. I will always be grateful for his kindness , caring and guidance during these difficult times. I am sure he has touched many other lives as well and they are equally as grateful.

I have such great memories of Charlie, from church camp at Berea First Baptist up until a year or so at Bojangles and at Rock Springs Baptist. He always greeted me with “Hey Girl”. My prayers are with you all, but we certainly know he is with Jesus.

My prayers for Gail and the family during this time. Charlie will be greatly missed by many people. My favorite memory of Charlie is the times that I and the other guys in the singles group got to attend the “men’s meetings” in his home. He shared his testimony and taught us much about the Bible and life in general. That was many years ago, but I carried from that experience much Christian growth and friendship. Charlie impacted my life for the cause of Christ and did so for many more as well!

Mike and Family- So sorry to read of Charlie's passing. I never saw Charlie that he didn't have a smile on his face and something good to say. Rode with him to North Carolina to look at a truck that was being made and we talked about everything under the sun. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Gail and family I am so sorry about Mr Forrester. He was a very kind man and loved his Lord. Y’all are in my thoughts and prayers. Love you.

Gail, Mike, Chris and Family; Our prayers are with you and your family as you walk through this difficult time. Charlie will always be remembered by anyone who was fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him. Charlie was not only a wonderful friend, but he was also truly a modern-day disciple. He always viewed any situation or challenge with a positive mindset and never allowed negativity to enter his daily life as he witnessed to everyone that he met. What a simple yet profound way to share Christ with all people…passing out Crosses and saying “Do you know what? God loves you and I do too” We will forever cherish the good times that we have shared and will always love you and your family. If there is one verse of scripture that reminds us of Charlie, it must be: John 13:35 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. It was evident that Christ lived in Charlie as he loved everyone he met! We’ll miss him dearly but are grateful God allowed our paths to cross. We love you,

Gail me and mom loved Charlie so much, even though he said he never forgave her , we know he did Cant wait to see him again, God loves you and we do too

Mrs. Forrester, Mike and Chris, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Forrester. Mr. and Mrs. Forrester were always such great influences in both mine and Michael's life. Dear Gail and Family, Charlie was a wonderful man. His presence always had a positive effect on the gatherings he attended. Dear Family, I'm so sorry to hear of my Friends passing, He gave me a cross about 8 months ago one morning at church and I have carried it every day!! He also gave me another one to give to someone who crossed my path and God led me to speak and give it away! I let him know of the first one and he gave me a 2nd one recently.
