Charles William Moses, Jr. of Greenville

Charles W. Moses Jr., 96, husband of the late Mary Alice Foard Moses, died on April 25, 2020.

Gunner's Mate Charles W. Moses, Jr. was a WWII Veteran having served on the USS Yorktown (CV-5). He retired from Ashworth Brothers in 1986 and was a member of White Oak Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and Usher. Mr. Moses also enjoyed woodworking.

He is survived by his sister, Norma Moses Mayer; nephew, Lee Moses and his wife, Joyce; nephew, Michael Mayer; niece, Shannon Ederer and her husband Rich and family; and other precious family members.

A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 in the White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery, Greenville. The Moses Family encourages those who wish to show their support to please visit www.thomasmcafee.com and send a “Hug from Home” and sign the online guestbook.

Mr and Mrs Moses were the most wonderful neighbors. I was maybe 3-4 when they built their house across from us. They were the kindest, sweetest couple and I know they are together again with their Savior.
