Cheearelee Inez Nations, 87, beloved wife of Paul Nations, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023.

Born in Sylva, NC, she was a daughter of the late Montgomery and Della Jones Ward.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her son, Curley Nations; two grandsons, David Manning and Adam Phillips; two great grandchildren; and three sisters, Darlene Bradley, Mackie Woods, and Vicky Williams.

Cheeare was preceded in death by a daughter, June Phillips; two sisters, Betty Ann Garland and Peggy Jo Robbinson; and three brothers, Doyle, Curly, and Ben Ward.

A graveside service will be held Friday, April 14, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

I remember Aunt Chera telling me about her scar on her cheek. I also have a scar on my cheek so I think that is why this story stuck with me. Hers was from a bull! She was such a warm person and I so enjoyed the times I had with her telling her stories!
