Clara Viola Nelson

Clara Viola Nelson, 84, wife of the late James Nelson, died Saturday, February 27, 2021.

Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late James and Alice Clardy Thurston.

Mrs. Nelson was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God.

She is survived by son Howard Nelson and his wife, Teresa, and grandchildren, Jason (Morgan), and Mary Beth, and great-granddaughter, Sabrina Nelson; son, Owen Nelson and his wife, Debra, and grandchildren, Owen Nelson, Jr., Abigail, Ben, and Katherine Nelson.

In addition to her loving husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

A public viewing will be held Wednesday, March 03, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home Northwest Chapel. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Glad Tidings Assembly of God. Burial will be held in Graceland Cemetery West.

Masks are required in all Thomas McAfee Funeral Home locations and attendees are strongly encouraged to follow CDC guidelines on social distancing.
