Clinton Luther Hopkins, 84, beloved husband of 63 years to Dorothy Hopkins, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023.

Born in Piedmont, SC, he was the son of the late Cole and Ethel Merck Hopkins.

Clinton was a godly man who loved the Lord and served as a deacon at Living Sanctuary Church. He was an avid car fanatic, enjoying all aspects of automobiles. The most important thing to Clinton was his family, he loved them beyond measure. To know him was to love him, he was a friend to all.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by daughters, Darlene Powell (Bruce), Tammy Pearson, and Rita Baker; grandchildren, Justin (Jennifer), David (Shelby), Cortney (Brandon), Austin (Stephanie); four great grandchildren; brothers, Blease and Marvin Hopkins; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Buddy.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his beloved niece, Joyce, for her loving caregiving.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by many close brothers and sisters.

The graveside service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Living Sanctuary Church, 201 Piedmont Rd, Piedmont, SC 29673.
