Curtis had an infectious smile and was a positive force in my life. I got to know Curtis in the 10th grade. It was ironic that the guy with the worst jump shot had the absolute best laugh on the JV basketball team. Just thinking of Curtis makes me smile! For young men growing up – the Kennedy house was a safe-haven – where you could play ping pong; wrestle, share a libation and just hang out! The Kennedy family was always welcoming, and Curtis was the leader – full of LIFE, and absolutely no “airs.” With Curtis - you got what you saw – someone who loved having a good time; a man’s man; and a person I am proud to have had as a friend. I am thankful for our friendship – and the positive impact he and the Kennedys made on my life.

We are heart broken to read this tragic news of Curtis, just this evening. Curtis was such a fine and moral man. I’ve known him for many years but more so in the past several years as he helped greatly with furniture projects. He was a talent for sure and much treasured. Deepest sympathy to the family he adored and many friends. Rest In Peace, dear friend. Your life was well lived. Well
Done.

I will always remember this kind, helpful and jovial spirit with a heart of pure gold. Mr C is what I called him but he was really like an uncle and dear buddy to me. He started out as my Lyft driver and we started a wonderful relationship. He always kept his word and kept me laughing all the time we spent. I truly believe God sent him my way when I moved down here a few years ago and I’m so blessed that he did. You will forever be a part of mine and my wife’s lives. Rest well Mr C

My heart is broken what a fine example of a Christian man Curtis was. He loved his sweet wife and adored his daughter. He always had a smile on his face and loved to hear my stories about where my certain piece of furniture came from. What a shock to find such a dear person was taken so quickly. We will miss you Curtis!

I remember Curtis’s friendliness and laughter. I had the great privilege of teaching his treasured daughter Ruth, a sweet and joyful spirit, such a credit to her parents’ love and devotion.

Always had a warm welcome and a friendly smile when I brought in furniture. I say brought in, he would always assist me, and with a smile and a firm handshake. May he +RIP+
