Dan Lenderman Rhodes, 86, of Greenville, husband of Jeanne Rhodes, died Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late William and Mary Hicks Rhodes.

Dan was a lifelong member of Parisview Baptist Church where he served as deacon for many years. A 1955 graduate of Parker High School, he loved to attend Furman and Clemson football games. A loving family man who loved spending time with his grandkids, he was known as a simple man who touched many lives.

In addition to his beloved wife he is survived by his sons, Dan “Lendy” Rhodes, Jr. (Laura) and Bryan Rhodes (Vanessa); four grandchildren and their spouses; four great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister, and one great-granddaughter.

The Graveside Service will be Monday, October 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Parisview Baptist Church, 100 Bud St, Greenville, SC 29617.

I’m very sorry to hear about Dan’s passing. I worked with Dan for around 14 years at Delta Engineering, and he was a good friend and coworker. Dan loved his family and talked often of Jeanne, Lendy, Bryan and his grandkids. Dan never met a stranger, and never let an opportunity to help someone pass him by. He was a wonderful, caring person. My thoughts and condolences to his family.

So sorry to hear of Dan's passing but praise the Lord he is healed know. I have many memories of sitting on the front porch of our home on the Bleachery and waving every time Dan and Jeanne passed our house. Prayers for the family.

I worked with Dan for many years. He was a good man, always considerate and kind. Sympathy and prayers for the family.
