David Glenn Bright, devoted husband of Vicki Holcombe Bright, passed away Friday, October 22, following a brief illness. He was 57 years old.
David was born in Spartanburg, SC, the son of Shirley B. Bright and the late Jimmy G. Bright.
He was a graduate of Dorman High School and attended Montreat College, where he gained life-long friends, before joining the U.S. Air-Force.
David lived in Taylors, SC and worked in Real Estate and Property Management in the Greenville-Spartanburg area.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Kirby Bright; two daughters, Rachel Martinez and Natalie Reyes; and his special granddaughter, Charlotte Petty.
Also surviving are his sister, Julie Pence; brother, Jonathan Bright; step-mother, Kathryn Bright; father-in-law, Gary Holcombe; and many nieces and nephews who will surely miss Uncle David.
David was a Christian and a man of great kindness and generosity. He enjoyed travel, cooking, music, Duke Basketball, and time with the family – especially on the front porch of the Piney Mountain cabin.
