David Henry Slieff, 76, husband of Beverly Slieff, died Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
Born in Goodrich, MI, he was the son of the late Berton and Florence Slieff.
David was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Simpsonville. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. He loved his family, grand and great-grandchildren, his grandpup, sports (Go Blue!), teasing people, eating sweets, and, most of all, his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He leaves behind his wife, Beverly (Bev), whom he cherished for 53 years of marriage; three children, Pearline Boyce, David E. Slieff, and Timothy Slieff (Michelle); six grandchildren, Kristine, Wyatt, Katelyn, Jason, Emily, Sarah; three great-grandchildren, Riley, Sara, and Scarlet; and his sister, Vivian Phalen.
He was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers: Anita Huff, Berton Slieff, Roberta Seeley, Kay Massey, Judy Kimball, and Roy Slieff.
The funeral service will be held Friday, May 7, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Masks are required in all Thomas McAfee Funeral Home locations and attendees are strongly encouraged to follow CDC guidelines on social distancing.
