David L Jones, 73, husband of Patricia Jones, died Saturday, March 27, 2021.

He was the son of the late William and Lucille Griffin Jones.

David served his country as a member of the National Guard. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed working in his yard.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a son, Brian Jones and wife Kelly; three grandsons, Christopher Jones, Eli Jones and Cameron Jones; his sister, Elaine Jones; and dear friends, Skip and Pauline, and Perry and Martha.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah Jones.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast, and the Family will greet guests as they exit the Chapel after the service. Masks are required in all Thomas McAfee Funeral Home locations and attendees are strongly encouraged to follow CDC guidelines on social distancing.

I worked with David from 1972 until his retirement.  I used to sit at his table for lunch and breaks.  David was really a good guy.  He was a model employee. I will always have fond memories of David, I last saw him at Cracker Barrel.  I talked to him about us having lunch together some time.  We never got around to it.
