David William Langdale, 62, husband of Diane Langdale, passed away, Tuesday, May 4, 2021.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of Jack Ray Langdale and the late Geraldine Crenshaw Langdale.
David enjoyed helping others and did so by volunteering at Greenville Mental Health Center. He had a close relationship with his mother and while she was living they enjoyed participating in karaoke together. In his spare time, he loved to paint and play the keyboard. He will be missed by all that knew him, but for David his greatest love was his family.
In addition to his loving wife and father, he is survived by daughter, Kathy Long; grandchildren, Jennifer Foster (Chase), and Mandy Long; one great grandchild; sister, Lora D. Snell (Jim); nephew, Alexander Snell (Brooke); niece, Emily Snell; and aunts, Mattie Morton (Willard), and Betty Howard (C.E.).
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by brothers, Richard “Ray” and Steve Langdale.
A public viewing will be held Friday, May 7, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. with a graveside service following at 3:30 p.m. at Graceland Cemetery West. Masks are required in all Thomas McAfee Funeral Home locations and attendees are strongly encouraged to follow CDC guidelines on social distancing.
