I initially met Debbie & Rudy in FL when I was visiting my parents who went to the same church. I would see Debbie & Rudy from time to time when I returned to visit my parents. After my dear mother went to be with the Lord & my dad started to experience more medical problems, I decided to move to FL. I started regularly attending his church & came to know & love Debbie & Rudy. Debbie lit up the room with the love of the Lord consistently. Debbie brought us so much love & joy. We all became close friends that could pray and support one another. My dad told me that he looked forward to seeing Debbie every Sunday & looked forward to talking with her and of course giving us a hug & kiss that made his day. We also enjoyed seeing & talking with Rudy. Debbie shared her love of the Lord with us always and we were saddened by the news that they were leaving FL to be closer to family but we understood why. Debbie & I kept in contact with calls, cards & text messages. It's an honor & privilege to be Debbie's friend. She touched the lives of so many people & will be surely missed. She text me & told me that the doctors gave her a month or two to live but didn't want to share that information until after the holidays. Debbie always cared about others more than herself. Even at the darkest hour she was thinking of others. Our loss is Heaven's great gain!!! Thank God Debbie can walk the street of gold with her Lord & see other loved ones in heaven. No more tears - no more pain. She sits at the banquet table with her Lord & others where she was always meant to be! She's home - in heaven with her loving Lord & Savior. Hallelujah! I'm so thankful to know that one day I will see Debbie again with our Lord & Savior & other loved ones! What a glorious day that will be!!! If you don't know the Lord as your Savior, please talk to someone so that you too can get to know, love and accept Him as your Lord & Savior. I am keeping Rudy & their entire family in my thoughts & prayers. Thank you Ashley for keeping me informed about your mom - you are a dear! The attached photo is from 2018 Thanksgiving Celebration at the church - I love Debbie dearly - God bless and comfort you all.
