So sorry to hear of the passing of Dennis. I met Dennis when I started working at Crown Ford Truck in the parts department straight out of high school. I was young and knew nothing much about truck parts. Dennis taught me so much and was very patient doing it. Not only did he teach me about truck parts but also how to work on cars. I remember how he stayed up late on a Friday night and into early Saturday morning to weld my Go Kart gas tank so I could race it on Sunday in NC. Loved watching him work. He was always so neat, and everything had to be just right. My daughter still has the stuffed animal (Snuggles) that Dennis and Joy gave her over 39 years ago when she was born. Joy was Dennis rock and he loved her so much. Such a wonderful marriage and Joy was beside him all the way. May God bless and comfort you Joy. I was honored and blessed to know Dennis. He will be missed by many but never forgotten. I Love you my, Friend.

We didn’t just call him Dennis - we called him Sweet Dennis. He was a man of kindness and caring and, yes, sweetness. Though I am a bit older, I remember him as a boy growing up summers at Lakemont. I remember when he and Joy rekindled their love of Lakemont by making their cabin a cottage and moving here full time. He found contentment here. We will dearly miss him and the goodness that is forever an indelible part of our memory. Rest well, sweet Dennis.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
