Dianne Stewart Burnett, 72, wife of the late Phillip “Phil” Burnett, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021.
Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Thurman and Willie Mae McNeely Stewart.
Dianne was a member of Tremont Church of God. She was a graduate of Carolina High School, Class of 1967. She worked at BB&T for over 30 years and also worked part time at the Fur Salon in Belk at Haywood Mall. Dianne participated in the Red Hat Society. She loved Clemson football and was a champion “shopper.” Dianne had a sense of style and grace that was unmatched and admired.
She is survived by her children, Lisa McGahee (Jeremy), Stewart Burnett (Lori), Steven Burnett (Lisa); sister, Teresa Sims (Monroe) and brother, Jimmy Stewart (Lynn); sister-in-law Sharon Stewart; five grandchildren who lovingly called her “Mimi”, Daniel and Ryan McGahee, Phillip and Laurel Burnett, and McKenzie Bagwell; cat fur baby “Prissy”; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; many loving friends at the bank and her beloved fur salon ladies.
In addition to her parents and loving husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Stewart.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel. Burial will be held in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
