Donald Eric Lewis, 56, husband of Sarah Lewis, passed peacefully on Wednesday July 28, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Statesboro, GA, he was a son of the late James and Hazel Hallman Lewis, Sr.

Don was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to spend time at the coast with his family. He was a loving husband, father, and self proclaimed amateur chef, and always had a good dad joke. Don had a passion for irrigation, and was owner and operator of RainShine Irrigation and Landscape Lighting.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Donald Eric Lewis, Jr.; daughters, Sarah Lewis and Emily Lewis; two sisters, Julie Rushing and husband, Timmy, and Dianne Greenwood and husband, Jimmy; and two brothers, Eddie Lewis and wife, Jana, and Danny Lewis and wife, Connie.

A visitation will be held Friday, July 30, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast. The memorial service will be Saturday, July 31st at 4:00 p.m. in the Southeast Chapel.
