Doris Kay Bixby Macialek, 65, devoted wife of Richard Macialek, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 23, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Born at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, CO, she was a daughter of Leona Morrison Rainwater and the late Clyde Rainwater.
Doris was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was married to her late husband Bishop Matthew Bixby for 40 years until his passing and was blessed to marry again in 2021 to Richard. She was a devoted Pastor’s wife for 33 years and led the ladies’ ministries and played the piano for the church. She directed the play “Women Touched by Christ” several times and performed sign language to gospel songs that blessed everyone in attendance. She enjoyed playing piano, knitting, sewing, making clothing for her children, including Easter Sunday outfits that matched in blue and pink seersucker. She loved to cook, making the best rolls and bread, although the recipe exist, they were always made with love and can never be replicated. Doris worked at Design Strategies for 17 years after obtaining her Associate’s Degree in Engineering Design from Greenville Technical College. She was a beautiful and caring person, who always encouraged others to love everyone, forgive everyone, don’t sweat the small stuff and most importantly know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior.
Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of her mother, Leona Rainwater; her loving husband, Richard Macialek; three wonderful children, Elizabeth Aguilar, Ben Bixby and wife, Charlene, Philip Bixby and wife, Sabrina; her adoring grandchildren Nathan Aguilar, Asher, Jayla, Django, Joel, and Addie Bixby; six siblings, Carolyn VanPelt and husband, Jerry, Darrell Rainwater and wife, Sheila; twin sister, Donna Gause, Jerry Rainwater and wife, Marilyn, Michael Rainwater and wife, Karen, Darlene Coston and husband, Tim.
