My husband and I have visited Carriage House for the past 15+ years and got to know and love Doris. She was probably the most joyful person we have ever met - she always had a smile.  The only thing I ever heard her "complain" about was the food at Carriage House.:) For the last few years I have been her taxi to her doctor's appointments and sometimes to her beautician. We have several vehicles, and she would always say, "I love this car, van, etc.". When we came to a stop sign, she would say, "OK my way, baby." We are going to greatly miss her! If we are ever allowed back in at Carriage House, it won't be the same without her.

My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Doris many times as we served as her deacon. She was a prayer warrior and always asked for the quarterly devotions that included missionary birthdays. We appreciated her prayers for our family. She always asked about how we were doing and how the church was doing. We always left her presence and felt blessed. We came to minister to her but she ministered us and our needs. Ms. Doris was a Godly woman who loved Jesus and shared her faith openly. She taught us how to remain faithful to the end of our lives and we are better Christians because of her guidance and influence. Thank you Ms. Doris for loving us , your family, your friends and our Lord. We will miss you but see you later in our heavenly home.
