Doris Kelly Littlejohn went to her heavenly home on November 13, 2021. Doris was born in Mobile, Alabama on December 22, 1935. Her parents were Joseph Jefferson and Valda Jane Weekley Kelly. She moved to Georgetown, SC at an early age and resided there until she married Lon Harper Littlejohn in 1956.
Through transfers with her husband’s roles with International Paper Company, she moved to several cities including Panama City, FL, Vicksburg, MS, and Springhill, LA, later settling in Greenville, SC. Doris loved her church, her family, friends, and flowers. She operated Twin Oaks Farm & Nursery and in retirement she enjoyed planting and sharing flowers with friends. Her love of cooking and family ensured holiday gatherings had lots of joy and laughter.
In addition to her faithful husband of 65 years, left to cherish her memory are three children, Mark Littlejohn and his wife, Tracy; Brenda Acree and her husband, Alex; and Larry Littlejohn and his wife, Allison. She was also blessed with five grandchildren, Markie Sheets and her husband, Jimmy; Elise Norvelle and her husband, Brandon; Melissa Littlejohn, Grace Littlejohn and Faith Littlejohn, as well as four great-grandchildren, Mark Sheets, Valda Sheets, River Norvelle, and Andy Sheets.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
