Today which is national daughter's Day, I have been thinking so much about my mom and the times when I would come up to visit her in order to help her get things done. But instead we would spend the days just chatting and laughing and laughing so much. I was incredibly lucky to have a close and loving relationship with her for all my life. I will miss you so much, Mom, but I'm grateful that you are out of pain and have peace.

Mumsie was not only my patient but also my best friend for over two years. She was a brilliant lady with a gift for story telling. I laughed more with her than with any other person who has crossed my path in life, excluding my husband. One of the hardest decisions that I have ever made was to discontinue as her caregiver. My poor state of health at that time could have endangered hers. I hope that I am a better person for having known her. ....one classy lady! She will forever be in my heart. I'll love you always, Mumsie.
