Doris Ruby Johnson, 93 years and 11 months, wife of the late Rev. William Johnson, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021.
Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Eva Johnson Mull.
Doris was a long-time member of Harmony Baptist Church where she played the piano. She was a avid fisherman who lived all around the country with her husband. She was a “hickory-carrying” loving mother, a loving grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
She is survived by children Gayle Conwell, Eva Miller (Robert “Buddy”), David Johnson, Tony Johnson; and daughter in law Becky Johnson; 17 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 25 great-great grandchildren; and sister in law Dora Mull.
In addition to her loving husband of 51 years and her parents she was preceded in death by her son Randy Johnson; daughter in law Linda Johnson; son in law Walt Conwell; granddaughter Pamela Darrin; great granddaughter Ashley Alexander; great grandson Cameron Johnson; twin sister Dot; sisters Johnnie and Sadie; brothers Thomas and Earl.
A visitation will be held Thursday, September 02, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest. The funeral service will be held Friday, September 3, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery West.
