My heart goes out to the Curry family on the passing of your mom. I have so many wonderful memories growing up as neighbors in Columbia in the early 1970s—I think of all of you often. Swim team, Spring Valley football games, youth baseball, sleepovers, Super Bowl parties were all wonderful times and your parents made me feel like a part of your family. Your mom was truly a wonderful lady.

Dear Curry Family, Kyle and I are sending all of you prayers of comfort during this difficult time. Aunt Dorothy was certainly one special lady, and I was so proud to call her my aunt. I loved everything about her and the way she always made you feel so special when you were in her presence. She was a wonderful storyteller and I enjoyed the immense humor she sprinkled throughout everything she would tell. Her love for others and her unwavering faith were qualities that I always admired in her. Her legacy will be felt by all of us for years to come. I know saying that final goodbye is such a tough journey on everyone. Hold tight to your faith knowing that she is in heaven celebrating with all the family that preceded her arrival. I will always smile when I think of aunt Dorothy because I know her beautiful spirit will continue to live on in so many of you. How blessed were we to hve been a part of her wonderful like. Much love always - Lisa and Kyle

Dorothy’s love of her faith and family infused every aspect of her life. It was her upbeat faith that was so infectious and inviting that you would find yourself opening up and sharing with her those moments and struggles that unite us as Christians. In the church and adoration chapel you were sure to see her, but also in social fellowship whether at the parish or other venues. Her legacy is love. I cannot think about her without recognizing that she always inspired others. She evoked this great admiration because she always gave a strong example of everything good.

My heart is broken. I absolutely adored your mother/grandmother. She was such a gift to my life. I met her in Adoration one Saturday morning a few years ago, and would forever after plan my time to be there so that I could see her. What an extraordinary woman and friend. We tried to get together just this past November when I was back in town, but it didn't come to pass. And that will grieve me for many years to come. I cannot thank Our Lord enough for my being able to meet Dorothy and share time with her over the four years I was in Greenville this time. I absolutely love her. My heart and my prayers are with you all. God Bless Dorothy!

Dear Curry family I know Aunt Dorothy is having one heck of a family reunion tonight with her sweet mother Agnes Uncle Louis Aunt Rose Uncle George Aunt Phyllis Aunt Shirley and sweet Marsha and Cousin Jim. Your mom grandmother great grandmother was a class act who carried herself with dignity and pride. She lit up every room she entered with that beautiful smile! She and Uncle George created a beautiful family and I was blessed to have them both as a part of my life. My mom and Dad loved them both very dearly and spoke of them often. God bless you all and your wonderful patriarch Dorothy. We will miss her dearly but know she is resting peacefully in the hands of the Lord. Pat
