Dr. Creel knew how to make friends and make someone feel like the most important person in the room! I was blessed to be able to train Dr. Creel for the last 8 years and see him touch hearts every day he came to the gym. He always put a smile on my face each time I saw him! His love for Jesus was always evident and talked about every workout session. I loved listening to his life stories, they were always so fascinating and inspiring! He has forever touched my heart and I am truly grateful. I am praying for comfort for you all.

We want to offer our sincere condolences to Doc’s family and friends. We have known Doc since moving here in 1983, when he started caring for our beloved cats. He was always relaying his experiences on his mission trips and was entertaining; as well as providing stellar care and concern for out pets through the years. It was an honor and privilege to have known him and for him to treat us genuinely, as part of his veterinary family. His friendship and professional expertise is missed.

Dr. Creel was one of the first people I met when I moved to S. Carolina in 1978 when he became the care provider for our family pets. When I was married he continued to provide great care for my new family's cats, Patches & TK, and later, our adopted Labrador, Joy. He always shared an excellent Christian testimony.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Having moved to Simpsonville, SC from New York with six cats, my husband and I were fortunate to be referred to Dr. Wayne Creel for Megan’s urgently needed dental surgery. “Doc” remained our vet for 10 years. Doc was a remarkably passionate, compassionate, knowledgeable, generous, funny and religious man. My six cats were sent on their heavenly journey by Doc. When he first comforted me telling me to go with Jesus, I asked him if Moses could come too. From that day on, Doc never forgot to include Moses. The phrase “above and beyond” also described Doc. Our cat Duane had been experiencing problems but seemed to be getting a little better. However, on a Sunday Duane got worse and was suffering. I called Doc, and instead of advising an emergency clinic, he said, “bring him in.” Unfortunately, Duane had to be put to sleep. Doc took my husband into his office (I could not go) where he prayed for Duane’s journey on the “Rainbow” path. Andrew Wayne Creel, DVM became part of our family. In the past few years my husband (who does all the cooking that Doc loved) and I had the pleasure of having Doc at our holiday meals. Doc would have us join hands (a practice I did not grow up with) and he would say Grace, making sure to include everyone at the table by name. Also, he never forgot to include thanking “Moses” along with his heavenly father. Needless to say, the conversation was full of medical knowledge, as well as stories from Doc’s mission trips and archeological digs. Using the cliché, Docs “thirst for knowledge” knew no boundaries. There was another amazing side of “Doc”. Knowing I was a special needs teacher for over 31 years in NYC, we often discussed current educational trends. In one of our recent conversations, Doc confided in me that he had learning challenges and his parents did not think he was college material. Feeling differently, Doc was determined to become a veterinarian. He did not let his learning disabilities/challenges stand in his way. His daughter also informed me that he was colorblind! My husband Steve and I will miss Doc’s presence, but he will be forever in our hearts. Fondly, Mindy Malecki

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Creel's passing. I first met him in the early 1990's when his Veterinarian Hospital/Pet Motel was assigned to me regarding his business insurance. I looked forward to taking his policies to him every year and of course, he always had to pray for me and my family before I left his office. I can still hear him say "Praise God from whom all blessings flow"! Please know that I am praying for you all at this time.
