What a great loss of a gifted compassionate surgeon whom I was honored to consider a good friend. I am presently recovering form a fortunately mild case of Covid, but am quarantined a few days more.
Many grand times with Pat and Bob, sharing our western Pennsylvania heritage and both Alumni of the University of Pittsburgh. Sorry I have been out of touch since moving to Spartanburg 3 years ago ( moving back to Greenville soon) and was not aware Bob had been ill.
My sincere heartfelt condolences to Kim, Kelly, and Bobby. A wonderful family, a legacy for a great man.

My heart is very heavy, but I know that Dr. Coles is in a better place and is rejoicing with the Angels. I have been a long-term patient of Dr. Coles for the past 15+ years. He was such a special person, he had a great passion for the work that he did, which really showed in the compassion that he had for his patients. He always took the time to sit and talk, not only about how you were doing but about everyday life. He will truly be missed beyond words. To his children and his siblings. May God hold each of you in his tender arms during this difficult time:

I saw Dr. Coles twice back in 1996, when my mother was referred to him by our dentist. I remember that he and his assistant were kind and helpful to us.
