I'll always remember the conversations we shared. Duane loved to talk about what great things he and Paula cooked up the night before or threw on the grill...sometimes even showing me pictures of batches of chicken! He talked often of his family's travels and his eyes lit up when talking about his boys and their camping trips. My sincere condolences to you, Paula and your entire family. May you find peace in knowing that he's resting comfortably in the arms of the Lord.
Yohannah Kimball left a message on September 2, 2021:
I remember laughing when I found out Mr. Anderson's middle name was Earnest, because it fits him so well. His enthusiasm for the subjects he taught and for life in general made me want to learn. He was an excellent teacher, advisor and mentor. He believed in me from the start, even when I wasn't sure if I was going to make it. He loved showing off pictures of his family and of his past students and all their accomplishments. I was very much looking forward to sending him a picture of my first paycheck and getting to talk shop with him, but I'm so grateful to have known him while he was here. When I talked to my fellow classmates, it seemed almost everyone was thinking of him recently. Mr. Anderson was a big believer in karma, and I hope he knew that he had a lot of people thinking of him and his family. I hope to imitate his love for life and love of people. I am so sorry for the loss his family and friends are experiencing, and I hope they can find some comfort in the wonderful legacy he left behind.
