Elizabeth “Beth” Jordan Smith, 58, devoted wife of Ronald “Coach Ron” Smith, went to be with her Lord and Savior, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 25, 2021.
Born in Houston, TX she was a daughter of the late Lynn Austin and Sylvia June Bell Jordan.
Beth met Ron at the Commerce Club. Ron was fascinated with how interested Beth was when she interacted with everyone. It was then that Beth captured Ron’s heart. They spent almost 20 years together; traveling, and having fishing contests on Shavehead lake. Her smile would light up any room she walked into. She was smart, creative, always up for having fun, and had an effervescent spirit.
She was the most amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother, “Beezie,” and friend. Beth was of the Baptist faith.
Her legacy will continue on with her husband of almost 20 years, Ron; four precious children, Devin Dwyer and wife Taylor, Blake and Peyton Dwyer, and Emily Marchbanks and husband Tyler; two adoring grandchildren, Knox Robert Dwyer and Skylar Marchbanks; her sister, Julie Cragg and husband Jack; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Our heartfelt thanks to Marcella for all the love, support, and care that you gave to Beth. Much appreciation to Agape Hospice and the extra love and friendship shown from Valorie and numerous other friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Beth’s life will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at Taylors First Baptist Church with a receiving of friends to follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Taylors First Baptist Church, 2 West Main Street, Taylors, SC, 29687.
