Ernest Patton, II, age 56, died Thursday, April 22, 2021 at his home in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
Born in Greenville, SC on October 21, 1964, he was predeceased by his parents Mitchell Patton of Charlotte, NC and Kathryn Patton of Dallas, TX.
He is survived by a brother, Jeff Patton; former spouse, Millie Patton; son, Ernest “Trey” Patton, III; daughter, Evelyn Patton; aunt, Florence Carter Rice; uncle, Marvin Gault and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ernest graduated from Hargrave Military Academy and then Lenoir-Rhyne College with a degree in International Business. He held various positions as a Business Systems Consultant in the fields of Distribution and Banking in Dallas, TX and Charlotte, NC before moving to Coral Springs, FL in 2015.
His passion was fly fishing. He also enjoyed sailing and especially enjoyed spending time with his children on the beach watching sunsets and fishing on the pier.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 11, 2021 at Christ Church Episcopal, 10 North Church St., Greenville, SC 29601 with burial immediately following in the churchyard. All attendees are strongly encouraged to wear masks and follow CDC guidelines on social distancing.
