Ethel E. Moon

Ethel E. Moon, 93, widow of Paul Moon, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, September 2, 2023. She is at peace now.

Born in Piedmont, SC, she was a daughter of the late George and Nina Holcombe Ellison.

Ethel was a devoted member of City View First Baptist Church for over sixty years. She actively participated in various church activities including Keenagers and craft classes, and attended all events with genuine joy. Ethel cherished her church family and friends deeply.

Outside of her church life, Ethel had a passion for reading, watching people, and exploring the world through travel. She had a long and dedicated career, having worked at Woolworth and Celenease for many years.

Ethel is resting in peace and left to cherish her memory are her nieces, Debbie Tollison, Katherine Roper, Sherri Albertson (Ed), and Denise Martin; nephews, Harold Martin (Sandy), and Wayne Martin (Gail); and numerous generations of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Ethel was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Martin Chasteen.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
