Eugene “Gene” Allison

July 17, 1935 - April 21, 2007
Eugene ?Gene? Allison, 71, of 203 White Horse Road Ext., died Saturday, April 21, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. Born in Lumpkin County, GA, he was the son of the late Homer and Mary Sullins Allison and the husband of Vearnese Smith Allison. Mr. Allison served in the U. S. Marine Corp, was retired from National Electric and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Donnie Allison of Greenville and Terry Allison of Cary, NC; a brother, J. W. Allison of Greenville; a sister, Fanny Anderson, of Dawsonville, GA and five grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at the Northwest Chapel with burial in Graceland West Cemetery. The family is at the residence.
