Johnnie Fay Williams Smith, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on July 24, 2021.
A Celebration of her life will be held at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast Chapel on Saturday, July 31, 2021. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. and hold a short service thereafter.
Fay was born January 22, 1934 in Sandersville, Georgia to Mezana and Comer Williams. She was the youngest of 3 children. She was a devout Christian her entire life and a member of the Church of the Christ. She was employed by the State of South Carolina school system for over 40 years as Dietician and Lunchroom Manager.
During her retirement years her favorite past-times were coloring, cooking, going to the gym, and most importantly, spending time with her family. She was especially fond of family game nights and family Corn-Hole competitions.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Donna Fay Walker (Mike) of Greenwood, SC, Debra Lynn Hutz (John) of Greer, SC, Michael Don Smith (Pam) of Canton, GA, and Kenneth Dale Smith of Rock Hill, SC; her brother, Robert Williams (Becky); any many Grandchildren and wonderful friends.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Father, Stepfather, Grady Wicker, and her brother, Ray Williams.
