Frank Camden Owens III

Frank Camden Owens, III Cam, age 59, died February 15th, 2013 at Greenville Memorial Hospital due to complications from a long battle with a rare illness, PNH. Cam was born on May 26, 1953 in Atlanta, GA to Marguerite Kent
and Frank C. Owens, Jr. He attended Garden Hills Elementary School and North Fulton High School in Atlanta and Furman University in Greenville, SC. He loved sports and enjoyed active and successful participation on basketball teams in high school and college; he also loved playing golf. His professional life included working as a Real Estate Agent, a Sports Agent, and a Financial Advisor. He lived in Greenville for 22 years. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil W. Kent and Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. Owens; and brothers, William Kent Owens and Steven Wright Owens. Surviving him are his wife of 16 years, Amie Fender Owens, and four children, Saffron Owens Algozzini and her husband, Tony Algozzini; Frank Camden Owens IV both children of the late Ayres Gotsch Owens; Ian Grant Kent Owens and Aidan Chase Inman Owens, of the home; and a granddaughter, Addison Ayres Algozzini. Also surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. Owens, Jr.; in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Randy Fender; his sister Marguerite "Margo" Owens Boden and her husband, William "Bill" Boden; nephews, Zach Boden, Nick Boden and Steven Owens; niece, Mackenzie Boden; brother-in-law, Geoffrey Fender and his wife, Allison; aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. John Chapman; cousins Bill and Linda Shippey; Janet Chapman, Owens and Marlyn Chapman, and John and Katherine Chapman, Jr. A memorial service will be held Monday, February 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Michael Hoyt officiating in Greenville, SC at Fourth Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the home, 26 Donatello Court, Greenville, SC 29609. A private burial will be in Arlington Memorial Park in Atlanta, Ga. at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests gifts be made in Cam's memory to Fourth Presbyterian Church, 703 E. Washington Street, Greenville 29609, or to Christ Church Episcopal School, 245 Cavalier Drive, Greenville, 29607, or to a charity of one's choice. The family will be at the residence.
