Kevin, Barry & Family, Our thoughts and prayers remain with you through this difficult time. I sure am going to miss your dad, but we are thankful that he is now perfectly healed and reunited with your sweet mom. My favorite Furman Alewine story probably isn't appropriate for this website, but I'll just say that he was correct, slower traffic should get right and driving is a privilege, not a right.

So sorry to hear about Furman. I saw him briefly about eight or 10 years ago time sure flies by for a few minutes not long enough to relive some of the fun we had is kids. Fond memories, playing football, and other games with Furman until his dead thought that I was getting a little old to play contact sports with a young man I was a year older than him, I guess we understood after a while. My deepest condolences to Etheline and Malcolm

I was in Furman's class at Wade Hampton and we had Mr. Voyles for Civics in 10 grade. I will always remember Furman's laugh when Coach Voyles gave his "no looking" instructions before our tests. Being the quarterback for the football team he was know by everyone and he carried himself well. I know he will be missed by his family and friends. He was a good guy!

So sorry to hear about Furman's death. I met him many years ago through his cousin Dana who lived next door to him. I also remember his days as a lifeguard at Chick Springs Lake. My deepest sympathy goes out to Furman's family.

Dear Barrie, Kevin and all of Furman's family. Prayers to all of you over losing Furman. A lot of us have lost a dear friend. When my dear late husband Hugh befriended Furman at Clemson I took my dear Gamecock suitemate Judy to a homecoming weekend. They immediately fell in love. Over so many years we all celebrated marriages, parties, sports games with fierce rivalries between Gamecocks and Tigers!!! Furman was a wonderful and kind friend with a great dry sense of humor. He's in such a better place with God and his beloved Judy. Blessings.
