Furman L. Hall, 91, of Dacusville, went to his heavenly home on Friday, January 22, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late James Robert and Ollie Murr Hall.
He was a 1947 graduate of Parker High School and proudly served in the United States Army. Furman retired from Steel Heddle Mfg. where he was a Tool and Dye Supervisor. He was a faithful long time member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Furman was a quiet humble man who was always willing to help someone in need. He was loved dearly by his family, both immediate and extended family and will be missed greatly.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Deborah Hall Grant (Mike); five grandchildren, Sean Hyder (Jada), Amy Hyder Painter (Donald), Melanie Grant Walsh (Emmet), Kelly Grant Hart (Lewis) and Kayla Johnson (Cedrick); eight great grandchildren, Carlee Johnson, Morgan Painter, Paige Bertling, Tyler Bertling, Sadie Walsh, Max Walsh, Dawson Hart and Peyton Hart; three great great grandchildren, Harmony, Christian and Laya Wideman. Also surviving are three sisters, Beatrice Hall Good, Faye Hall Aiken and Belinda Hall Hilliard.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Norma Turner Hall; and a sister, Mildred Hall Pierce.
Although no formal receiving of friends will be held, friends may pay their respects by visiting Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest on Monday, January 25, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The Reverend Paul Turner will officiate a private crypt side service for the family on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.
Masks are required in all Thomas McAfee Funeral Home locations and attendees are strongly encouraged to follow the CDC guidelines on social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that you honor Furman's memory by making a memorial donation to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 1623 Hester Store Road, Easley, SC 29640.
