Gene Edward Osteen, 83, husband of Sallie Watson Osteen, passed away Friday, June 10, 2022.

Born in Greenville, SC, he was a son of the late John and Gertie Osteen.

Gene proudly served in the US Marines and was a Reserve Veteran. He loved to play golf and was an avid fan of the Clemson Tigers. Gene was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his loving wife of forty eight years, he is survived by two sons, Rodger Alan Osteen (Pamela), and David Mark Osteen (Eileen); grandchildren, Gabby, Blake, Jasmine, Jaydie, Kaylee, and Gregory Osteen, and Christian Hall; brother, Gary Osteen (Gail); great niece, Nolan Holder; and faithful dog, Lily.

In addition to his parents, Gene was predeceased by a son, John Gregory Osteen, and grandson, John Osteen.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Graceland East Memorial Park.
