Geneva H Boutwell

Geneva H. Boutwell, 94, of Jacksonville, FL, wife of the late John Boutwell, passed away peacefully at home on July 1, 2021. She was born January 10,1927 in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Mary Lee Hendrix and Henry O’Dell Hall.

Geneva moved from Greenville, SC to Jacksonville, FL in 1970 when John retired from the Marines. She loved flowers and enjoyed working in her yard, and entertaining and lodging her friends from SC, who jokingly said they came for the pool and her delicious hamburgers. At the age of 94, Geneva, outlived most of her friends, but left behind so many fun memories to the next generation of her friends, who became both her friends and family.

Geneva was the last surviving member of her family.

In addition to her husband and parents, Geneva was preceded in death by her sisters, Wilma Hall Mullinax and Doris M. Hall.

The Graveside Service will be Friday, July 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Graceland Cemetery West, Greenville, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
