Gerald David Jones, 82, loving husband of 63 years to Betty Jones, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022.

Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Clyde and Ether Gosnell Jones.

Mr. Jones proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a member of Hilltop Avenue Baptist Church for over 50 years where he served as a Deacon and a Sunday School Director. A dedicated man, he worked at the United States Postal Service for 42 years.

In addition to his beloved wife, Betty, he is survived by sisters, Drucilla (Jose) Ortiz, Phyllis (Johnny) Bryant, Margie (Armando) Flores, and Kathy (Lloyd) Weaver; brothers, Dennis (Joan) Jones, and Daniel (Evelyn) Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Gary, Mark, Tony, and Charles Jones.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 1, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
