Geraldine Annie Staples

Geraldine Annie Staples, 85, wife of the late Banyon Staples, died Wednesday, May 19, 2021.

Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late T.H. and Mozelle Morgan Bobo.

Ms. Staples was a member of Washington Ave Church of God where she was a Sunday School Teacher for over 30 years. She was employed by Judson Mill for over 50 years before retiring in 2006. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, who loved the Lord and preached his word, she will be dearly missed by her family and all that knew and loved her.

She is survived by daughters, Polly Hardy (Thomas Wilson), and Carol Lloyd (David); son, Branyon Staples (Susan); eight grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

In addition to her loving husband and parents, she was preceded in death by son, Michael Talmadge Staples.

The visitation will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with the funeral service following at 10:30 a.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will be Graceland Cemetery West .

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 123 W Antrim Drive, Greenville SC 29607.
